How to improve your MPG

It is really simple! Just get nicked for speeding and attend a speed awareness course! Has improved my MPG by 2 miles per gallon!.

Don't drive above 50mph with any windows open.
Avoid using Aircon when possible but do use it regularly to keep it working properly.
Plan your journey and the time so as to avoid congestion.
Maintain a constant speed. Accelerating upto the speed at which you wish to travel and remaining there is better than slowly arriving at it and holding it for less time. Varying speed frequently uses more fuel. This requires careful planning and observation. Sitting in the middle lane is a sign of poor planning and driving ability. If you do this, consider taking an Advanced Driving course with the IAM or RoSPA.
Check your tyre pressures and their condition regularly.
Go and get a proper wheel alignment.
Don't carry unnecessary weight. When travelling locally, I leave my full-sized spare behind. Don't fill your tank and drive around when you could fill less, more frequently.
Leave yourself plenty of time for delays so that you are never rushed. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

As the FL2 is basically a tarted up load carrier, it is best to carry heavier objects in the rear of the vehicle and located above or near the rear axle. Bodies, either still partially alive or stone dead are best placed in the rear and spread over a larger surface area so as to balance the load. I have found it better to lay dead or partially alive hitchikers, hippies and vagrant peasants across the rear seats for this reason, as attempting to keep them upright in the front passenger seat often leads to difficulties when loading or unloading them. It is possible to get three average sized hippies laying flat on top of eachother on the back seats and I was surprised to find that the seatbelts reached all the way around their bound, emaciated bodies which were still clothed in handmade items which had been brought back from recent trips to exotic places.
Always use a cheap disposable seat cover as a little bit of blood goes a very long way.

that is all.

ps: FL2 for sale if anyone is interested. Details on request. Slight smell but you'll get used to it. Must dash salesmen from NSA have arrived. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

Been there done it - you are right the speed awareness course does make you keep your speed down (at least for another 3 years until you can resit the course if you get caught again). I had a 3.0L V6 RRS yesterday as a courtesy car whilst mine was in for repair - dealer was shocked when i returned after a 200 mile round trip and achieved an average 37mpg!!!! Suprisingly what sticking to the speed limits achieves Thumbs Up
