MY2013 Rear Light Cluster a different shape?

As above, are these "LED" Lamp clusters a slightly different shape to the previous? They appear to sit flush to the rear quarter panel, thus not allowing anywhere for the Rear Lamp Guards a hole to drill to affix rivet/hex bolt.

Anyone noticed a difference, or tried to affix Lamp Guards to a MY2013 with any success? I can't see how you can so far....

LR Topix show the same part number for all up to MY14 which is LR003685, plus the bracket fixing is the same once the lamp is removed if you look at Topix accessory instructions.

Contrary to what Topix indicates, these Lamp Guards cannot be fitted to MY2013. According to the technician that tried to refit my old ones today, the interior layout of the LED rear cluster is different behind the casing, and they cannot be drilled into without fracturing the circuit board.

In retrospect, I'm glad that they didn't fit, as the new rear lamp cluster has a totally different shape to its predecessor, and the curved part of the lamp guard would have cut across the indicator.

I'll list them for sale later on when I get a spare 5 minutes, so if anyone wants them, drop me a PM.

EDIT - Now listed in For Sale & Wanted Very Happy Foraging near Gaydon....
