Hi, does anyone know if you can switch off the automatic mirror downward tilting when you select reverse gear on either or both mirrors?
The tilting is a good thing, however, it tilts a bit too low for me and I end up bending forward to be able to see better. I would prefer to move the mirrors myself if required to a position that suits me.

You can set the 'dipped' position of the mirrors to suit you. Just adjust them when dipped and they'll remember that position. (According to the manual - I don't actually have the dipping mirrors.)

Hey Martin - this is what it says in the manual:

Mirror dip when reversing
When reverse gear is selected the driver and
passenger door mirrors are automatically
adjusted to provide an improved viewing angle
for reversing.
The exact dipped position can be adjusted
when the mirrors are dipped. The next time
reverse is selected, the newly adjusted position
will be selected.
When the gear selector is moved out of
reverse, the mirrors will return to their previous
position.

I found the easiest way to stop them tilting is ....
Stick it in reverse adjust the mirrors to where you want them then press the memory button on the seat controls and select a member between 1 to 3 and they will be locked and set  BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

Hi Guys, should the GS have auto tilt door mirrors or is it just cars with full electric seats? My 2010 GS model seems to have lots of other bits built in as standard which I know later GS's don't get. If the function is there do I have to do something to activate it? We always have used the manual button to tilt when reversing at home to the pavement edge.

Fred, if you have full electric seats you should have mirror dip, the memory store button on the seats is also used to store the mirror settings  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
