Well notched up first 100 miles today but after we stopped for coffee & again just now when i put the car away in the garage , when the engine is running I am getting an " ignition on " warning with a hazard triangle & bonging sound !
is this correct or has my nightmare begun all over again ?

Says press "ok" to clear ignition on, so it looks as if this may only be a safety feature. Try again after pressing this and see if it happens again. Also check what the hand book says about it Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

yeah your correct I have to press ok to clear but don't remember doing that when i collected from dealer & first couple of trips out & it would be annoying to have to press ok with every start up along with everything else that needs pressing !

Sounds like a glitch to me - you shouldn't have to do that. My 2013MY only does that when the engine is off, the ignition is on and I open the door. Quick call (or visit) to dealer? Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

You sure all the doors/boot and bonnet is shut? Open em all and shut em ha.

your a star thank you. Yep if a door isn't shut properly Which i remember when my wife & I swapped over driving & 2nd time it did it after coffee stop & boot had not shut properly & third time was when parking in garage so door wasn't shut too.!

Just been out & tried with door open ( message appears & if door shut no ignition on warning ) glad about that Thank you ! just jumpy after me last experince.

Just need to find out why the caravan electrics shut down when i plug into the car ! I'm sure someone on here said a fuse or relay was missing .

No worries!! I can't offer any quick fix advice for the electrics though!

When you say Caravan Electrics, do you mean the caravan lights outside or the electrics inside the van  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

remove all towbar electrics relays and all, then your problems will be over my friend, the car will hold is value more too  At work
