oil for my13

I'm sure this has been done before but anyway.

I have a my13 2.2 td4. The info in the book states the engine oil must be 5w-30 934-B.
I cannot find this anywhere near me in Switzerland at the moment or where ever I've asked in northern Italy.
I even asked a ford dealership who contacted the local LR dealer & they said what everyone else told me here.
Use 5w-30 913c. I just want a 1 litre bottle to carry in the car to top up when needed.

My question is: if I top up with the 913c will it cause any problems ?
When I collected the car the dealer told me that if there were any engine problems the engine oil would be checked & any variation from the specified type would void the warranty. Any thoughts from LR people or engine gurus on whether a small amount of 913 would cause the dealer/LR to void the warranty would be useful.

Alternatively any Swiss contacts know where I can get the correct type in the Engadin or Northern Italy would be appreciated.

Hi

The M2C934B specification is for a low SAPS oil the M2C913C specification is for older engines not needing to worry about low sulfated ash, phosphorus-sulfur.

Short term top up not going to be an issue, replacing the oil with a non low SAPS oil long term could affect your engine, main reason for low SAPS is to reduce the chance of the diesel particulate filter blocking.

So its unlikely anyone will tell you it's okay to use the wrong oil but you are at least using the correct grade just not the correct chemical pack within it. Paul Redding

Look for oil that meets ACEA C1 or Ford 934-B standard

Thanks for the advice. I hope I've found a place not too far off.
