I had exactly the same thing happen to me 9 days ago, I contacted Landrover Assistance and they were able to pop the hatch using the car electrics with absolutely no damage in a few minutes, see my post from last week under
"Landrover Assistance - thank you".

Thanks Cedric, unfortunately now out of warrenty, I have called my local dealer and waiting for a reply.

Well I'm in without breaking the quarter light but I'll need a new one so I'll leave it to your imagination on how I got in, off to B&Q to purchase a large amount of silicon and a corking gun meaning I can complete my holiday and my daughter will be secure and comfortable on the return journey to Birmingham.

Thanks to everyone who came up with suggestions some very intriguing.

Bit disappointed that the moderator deleted advice without forwarding it to me in my time of need, I understand it can't be on public display but we are about helping each other out?

My local Land Rovers response was "Is it under warrenty?" Helpful, but a new quarter window is not to badly priced.

More of a concern was that the doors where double locked but the alarm never went off when I put my arm in?

Thanks again to everyone. Thumbs Up

Glad you got it sorted my friend just a shame you couldn't do it without the hassle. As for the alarm, several of us have found that the alarm doesn't sound when double locked and moving inside. Just needs the roof sensor to be disconnected and reconnected.

Glad you sorted it Thumbs Up

The post you mention wasn't edited by myself, but the point you have raised about it been copied to you by PM seems quite reasonable in this instance and I will take it onboard for future reference
