when turning right vibration through steering and ac/peddle

sorry to pester you but i have owned my FL2 since june and informed my land rover dealer about this vibration that is apparent through the steering and accelerator peddle when turning right, this is at approx 50 mph, they in fair did the wheel balancing and 4 wheel alignment plus pressures first time round, still issue there, reported it and took it back, went for a drive with one of their HEAD techs and he noticed the vibratiion and noticed the wheels were not aligned correctly, so in it went and 6 hours later was told stripped found nothing wrong, wheels NOT aligned (even though they said they were not aligned correctly) and asked if i could adjust the tyre pressures because they thought they were over inflated, they could not do this them selves as i had them inflated with nitrogen mix and i have brainless mug written on my forehead ( think not). they said they could not re=create the vibration, drove slightly fuming and hey presto Vibration, Any ideas guys

Turning right shifts the weight of the car to the left so could be a left side wheel bearing starting to go. Try swopping wheels left to right to eliminate tyre wear first though.

well, swapped tyres from front to back, also had them rebalanced and had the four wheel alignment redone, and still getting rubbing/vibe through the steering and accelerator, tyres have 4mm left allround, scratching head now. don't really want to stick new rubber on yet. mmm!!

I really don't think it's tyre related, I think I am getting the same thing

To me it's appeared after my service and mot, which my rear brakes were fixed with my discs and hand brakes replaced, but this vibration is coming from up front

It's there, not getting worse but still needs looking into Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

may sound silly but has a tyre gone oval in shape? balancing and alignment would not show this up. It happened on my Hillman Hunter GT more years ago than I care to remember. relates closely/similar to a flat spot but doesn't show any tread wear
However giving the car mileage might give a better indication of the problem, ie track rod end worn or joint wear on suspension. Just a thought Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

thanks for that, took it back to stratstone this morning and they have since been in touch and confirmed a wheel bearing had failed and also that the two front tyres had been damaged as a result, awaiting delivery of vehicle, so once i have given it the once over and taken for a drive, will give final outcome, but so far looks good. hillman hunter gt any pics

Having taken the fl2 for a lengthy drive, can confirm that the rubbing/vibration on turning right has gone and that the wheel bearing being changed has appeared to have rectified the issue, plus 2 brand new tyres on the front, would like to say that the salesman that i purchased the vehicle through in startsone was very thorough in his approach in rectifing this issue for me, and thank you all for all the info you have given. Thumbs Up Very Happy

Car booked in for a test drive tomorrow, which will hopefully show which parts are required and then repaired on Friday

Out of interest, which bearing was it they replaced? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It's getting costly, I know you have taken the extra warranty, but maybe it's time Whistle p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
