I got a phone call apologising that they did not have any LR products available but would try, they asked if I had an Auto and claimed they would at least get an auto for me and meet me at the dealers at 5:00.
They rolled up at 5:25 with a manual Passat, I was then given a whirlwind tour by a spotty oik dribbling his script about collision wavers ect, with a promise that they will ring tomorrow and try and change the car to at least an Auto, they cannot promise a Land Rover product.
I won't hold my breath but will be a bit miffed if I end up with something rubbish over the weekend.

The one thing I am a little perplexed at though, is that at a time when your vehicle lets you down, you are put into a competitors car, how many people have thought, hmm this is better, although this Passat is a narcoleptic euro box that I thought I kept stalling, I have since realised it is a tree hugging Eco model

Yep, supposed to be standard. When my D3 died I got a new D3 SE from enterprise. They bent over backwards to get one as they said themselves I had to be provided with a LR.

At least you got a reasonable sized car, my D3 had to get a door resprayed, Stratstone Perth done the work and gave me a corsa for 3 days. I wasn't chuffed, I gave them a 7 seat auto and they gave me a 5 seat supermini with a clutch, they didn't even check that I had a manual licence or that I didn't 5 kids. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I would call LRA and complain about the hire car...I reckon a call from LRA to the hire company and they will bend over to find you something better Taz. _________________
