New Car- Engine running like a bag of spanners!

Just picked up my wifes LR2 i6 HSE on Thursday, have done about 200km since, drove home this afternoon, parked up for 5 mins then went to start the car. It started but eratic idling and no throttle reponse. After 2 mins it stalled. Re started and the same thing happened. Left it a minute and all seems to have returned to normal??!!

There has been no engine management light come on and no other warnings so I doubt if the computer whould have registered a fault?

Anyone had a similar occurance? Any advice appreciated.

Also any ideas what the fuel tank capacity is on the i6?
Many thanks CP

Tank is 70 Litres

I would speak to dealer - could be contaminated fuel, wrong fuel, problem with set up, something missed on PDI, etc...

I would not leave it too long in case causes damage.

Our strength grows over here then...that's 5 of us in the region on here. Welcome to the boards!

Not had any engine issues on mine in over 3000 kms.

The only annoyance I have is the blower fan for the airco at low speed is a bit squeaky, but you can only hear it when stationary and no music on.

As muddy says the tank is 70 litres (15.4 gallons (imperial)) with my usual fill up being between 13.5 and 15 gallons (imperial).

Many thanks for the advice. Not happened again since so hopefully perhaps a bit of contaminated fuel or perhaps a V hot engine or starting too quickly! Inshallah it wont happen again.

Shilen there is no Diesel option out here so you learn to live with the poor MPG- However at less than £1/gallon who cares!!

Happy Days

CP
