Auxiliary heater in freelander 2 2010.

Hi to all,
how to discover if my Freelander is really equipped with this optional ?
In the TOPIX LANDROVER ( owners web area ) I could see it's fitted in my car, but the mechanic doesn't know where to look for it. (maybe he's not enough interested)
I presume it's under the engine, in right wheel position, but i cannot remove all the things there are for discover him.

I bought the freelander one month ago, but the precedent owner doesn't give me no one auxiliary remote controller.
Some one of you have the auxiliary heater ?

Thanks for any help. Thumbs Up

From what I recall, all Freelander 2's are fitted with the auxiliary heater which I think is located under the gear lever, at least it was in that area where work under a recall for the early models was done.
There is no remote control for the auxiliary heater, the heater works automatically and is designed to reduce the time taken for warm air to be delivered to the passenger compartment on cold mornings.

No, i'm not sure you are totally right.
I have the Russia model obviously (landrover topix told me), and this is the remote control i'm talking about...
My question is: how to be sure, if is it really fitted in my car ?

I think there are two types of heater? Mine has an auxiliary heater that warms the air up quicker an electric element. But in colder countries I think there is an auxiliary heater that is connected to the diesel tank that warms the car up, this one has a remote control option I believe. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

This morning, the temperature outside was 25 degrees, but display on the dash showed -8. Shocked
I thinked: could this error start this auxiliary heater ?
So, I put an hand down the right wheel, where the fumes expells, and SURPRISE....

The air was HOT...

I stopped and restarted the engine, and the temperature was correct.
The fumes aren't present more.

i don't understand what's appening....
Maybe is the moment to replace this sensor of temperature...
My trouble is: could this fault sensor influence the diesel injection too ?
