One of the unwanted options ,on one of the two I may pick,.....are the lower side sills more prone to stone chips/ scrapes?...I do travel up and down tracks from farms and a bit if light off reading in winter,....just as all my other 3 freelanders have had black plastic,,,clean and wipe over with smart gel and the look likE new.....just wondering,.....is it a posers extra,.. Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Thanks chris ![]() ![]() I think it all depends on what colour you go for, I like the look of The black trim on mine on the Stornoway grey, blends in nice with the black mudflats ![]() The wanna be other half - http://www.freel2.com/forum/member-carriec.html |

Black plastic can look bad on some colours, white for example, but ok on others

I saw a Mauritius GS the other day without colour coding and it just looked wrong IMO. If you don't go for colour coding, at least get some mirror covers. |

I recently saw a white FL2 with colour coded white plastic things at the bottom of the doors, looked smart until I noticed the black door protectors on the middle of the doors and it just looked wrong!! Mind you my car is the basic S model so the bottom of the doors have black plastic on them, still they buff up nicely and are a good contrast to the white body work (i'm not really good with colours so probably looks a dogs dinner! |

My previous one, was Orange (Tambora Flame) without color code and looks fantastic, my new one is "Grey" Havana and love it with color code, that now is standard in all trims available in Mexico. So, it s just a different look... |
