2010 Freelander 2 TD4 Sport Manual Santorini Black
Continuing with dealer servicing?

I've just had a change of role at work and will now be doing considerably more miles. Anyone got any opinions on whether the depreciation for not having a full dealer history will make a difference on a high mileage car?
I've got 41,000 on my 2010 FL but I will be doing 12000 miles just to work per year so about 22000 in total, so it's going to end up a high miler pretty soon. So is it worth keeping the Landrover history up?

Also does anyone know if there is a different service interval? As at this rate ill need it serviced twice a year!

Cheers Cool

Have a look at Team Valley Land Rover in Gateshead. They're a 'proper' Land Rover service centre but significantly cheaper than a normal dealer, and have a very good reputation. It's where I go, and I'm further away than you are.

As for servicing (12 months or 15,000 miles whichever is sooner) once out of warranty just go to any recommended LR centre as stated above.

As for whether a dealer stamp means anything in monetary terms my experience is definitely not. Duckworth Market Rasin offered me £15,200 against a MY13 XS model, taking the Censored in my opinion.

and a stamp from outside the dealership is still good proof of regular servicing.

I think a dealer service history means more to a buyer rather than the salesman buying your car. So long as your car has been serviced regularly and there is proof of this then all should be fine.

All my LRs have went to the dealer for servicing, mainly because I receive good service from them, the car is always ready on time and spotless inside and out.

Now that my dealer has changed from Stratstone to Pentland, I get things a bit cheaper as they have the allegiance scheme. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
