I use mine when it's not hot enough for the air conditioning. I have it open a little on the motorway and warm days as it is much quieter than having the windows open. It lets in a lot of light and the interior feels light and airy. |

Never had it on any other of my cars before, but I find the freely doing 40 mph is like pulling down a window on a airliner 30,000 feet up ![]() doing 70 is ridicules its like being in a wind tunnel ![]() The wanna be other half - http://www.freel2.com/forum/member-carriec.html |

Thanks for the warm welcome . Sorry no pics yet as I've been getting the interior cleaned and up to standard . The wife and me are very impressed with how they drive , it seems pretty sensible on fuel too .

I promise I'll get some pics up Sunday , we had a run out to Chatsworth house this afternoon and even with the aircon on it was returning mid 30's mpg . I've spent this evening cleaning some bits inside and I am looking forward to giving it a good wash , but unsure which wax/sealant to put on after it's been polished , I've got a couple of dodo juice waxes which work great on dark colours or if I go down the sealant route it's either dodo juice supernatural hybrid which looks great on metallics and I've previously used it on my Citroën Zx16v which is metallic emerald green . The second option is Finishkare fk1000p high temp sealant which is amazing on white but I've not used it on any dark coloured cars . Here's my Zx after a good cleaning session .

My wife's is narvik black and I can see it being a pig to keep looking good . I spent sometime yesterday evening cleaning the engine bay up , first job was to vac any leaves and debris up , then it was a good soaking with some bilt hamber surfed hd , this was aggitated with a soft brush and then rinsed off , the plastics/rubber were treated with some autoglym vinyl & rubber to finish . I then gave it a wash with some dodo juice basics of bling shampoo and rinsed with an open ended hose and dried with a waffle weave drying towel . The paintwork requires a gentle machine polish but that will have to wait until I have the time . This evening I shampoo'ed the seats & carpets with my Numatic george to freshen the interior up .

A few things to report on the freelander nothing major really, it had its big service last year ready for winter and it really is performing fantastic, it will be getting a set of general grabber at's fitted on Tuesday morning as the Goodyear wranglers are almost down to the wear indicator. I've read some good reports on the generals.
