This is due to water pooling - the new design does not allow the water to pool in the moulding Confused Confused

I can't see how changing the angle so slightly making a difference Whistle
If anything the old design was more angled allowing the water to run off, I'm confused Confused BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I was also scratching my head Confused

At least it takes the doubt out of mind as to whether to fit them or not.

I was looking for something to do on Sunday before settling on the sofa for the Grand Prix followed by Glastonbury on the TV!

Evil or Very Mad Mine don't match up. Evil or Very Mad It doesn't bother me, but it would be nice if they did line up with the bumper. Rolling Eyes

Maybe the MY11 has a different rear bumper? Saying that, the mudflaps on edamballs 2009 model did not line up.

chris

Just looking at your flaps again, oooer missus, and i'm curious to know if the top edge of the rear mudflap stays against the bumper the whole way along?

When i first installed the rears the edge of the material was sticking out a bit so I took them off and poured boiling water on them from the kettle, and then did a bit of squeezing to mould the flaps and give a bit more curvature. Re-installed whilst still warm and they followed the bumper curve perfectly.

Yes, they are a perfect fit. It just looks like the top has been cut short so it doesn't line up with the bumper.

Curious, but having looked at your gallery photo again it is defintely a different design. The leading edge looks to have 'step-in' about 5 inches from the top. Mine are different. They also have a date stamp matrix with 2011 being the last available date, and a blank oval...

The good thing is Chris you have a Black freely so they don't really stand out Smile
I have a spare O/S if its any good Laughing

Then again i also have a spare set of
HSE wheels and tyres
Set of headlights
Set of 4 black slandered door handles
Stornoway Grey front grill surround
Dash insert tray
Pair of orange repeaters
and the list go's on Rolling Eyes

I'll have to get them all listed on the net in a few weeks, the misses is starting to get a bit annoyed with all the LR stuff sitting around Whistle BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

So I paid all that money for LR ones after Powerful UK told me that they had changed the mould for nothing? Big Cry

Which reminds me, I must get around to fitting them at some point. Although may wait until after Aug 11 as I quite fancy taking my car on the Beaulieu Simply Land Rover forest drive...
