that seems a little excessive, Harwods in Tonbridge quoted me £397 inc as their best price, but price matched a local idy.

Don't forget brake fluid change if car is 3 years old. That will bump it up at a dealer. I had my 3rd service and brake fluid changed at an indie, cost me 215 quid. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

As above...there is no such thing as a 'C' Service...it's either an 'A' or a 'B' Foraging near Gaydon.... —————————————— MY13 HSE Lux SD4, Baltic Blue - current, 30,000> miles without fault MY12 HSE 2.2 SD4, Sumatra Black - gone after 10 months/43,000 fault-free miles |

thought it were a little expensive, with regards to the "C" my service book has a tick box saying A, B, or C. previous was ticked as a B service.

I have always found that Marshalls are the highest priced LR garage in this area - indeed they were unable to compete in the sale of my car despite they having the exact model in the showroom. My first service was at Marshalls in Peterborough (strangely much cheaper than Marshalls in Cambridge) the second service was carried out in Gt Dunmow ,near Stansted airport, and they were over £100 cheaper than Marshalls. Marshalls now seem to have gone to a unified price across the group so no more cheaper services in Peterborough |

its seems a disgrace that they can get away with charging so much. on checking the Halfords schedule, they do far more for the 200 quid than LR do for 450. Having spoken to some of the mechanics at marshalls, it would also appear that i know more about Freelander's than they do....

Tip: You do not want your Land Rover serviced at Marshalls Cambridge.

Hi, I've not tried them but there is Lind in Ipswich (miles from Cambridge I know - but a scenic drive down the A14). I've bought oil there and they were at pains to tell me how good they are - plus they are a LR service centre so still a 'dealer service' I believe. I went back to Marshall for my 1st service, £363 ,courteous staff, no issues with them |

Warranty not affected but they MUST use all LR parts - no lookalikes. And correct spec oil. You won't get the corrosion warranty inspection, but from what I can see that's a waste of time anyway. btw if you fancy a couple of days in the North East the money you'll save at Team Valley will pay for your diesel and probably hotel too! They did mine at slightly more than half the Marshalls price. |

Don't think that is quite true regarding the warranty, EU law states they have to use parts that are of comparative quality and LR would have to prove that they were not.

I think I paid just a little over £270 at Team Valley, including an MOT. |
