Dodgy paint

Three things spring to mind.
1/. The spoiler may peel off easily because the 3M tape might peel of the tacky non cured paint in the fixing pad recesses.
2/. The tacky paint might need to be removed from the fixing pad recesses and back to the primer to make sure the spoiler is properly refixed.
3/. When I fitted my resprayed S/H spoiler (genuine LR), one thickness of 3M tape showed daylight thro the joint, I peeled the spoiler off, cleaned off the first tape and had to apply two thicknesses to make it adhere correctly .
I hope this helps, kind regards from Fred. 2010GS Auto ex Celeb, Santorini Black, 2011 facelift , spoiler, spats, mudflaps, LED footwell lamps, Witter detach,

Spoiler came off this morning with a bit of persuasion from a long Stanley blade. New galvanised M6 bolts and split washers bought, just need to reduce the length of them and tickle with plastidip on the heads. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto
