To me it sounds like you have a route set but its on mute as traffic afaik does not alert you otherwise....

I have given up trying to figure out how to use the sat nav. I've even looked into replacing the thing with a 7" touchscreen with Wi-Fi, etc etc.... I've spent longer trying to get it to do simple things than it takes me to get to near where I want to be and then figure the rest out myself.

It's not the best SATNAV in the world, but once you get used to the menu system it's not too bad. My biggest criticism is that it is reluctant to re-calculate a route if you deviate from the planned one.

That's its main downfall along with the three routes it chooses, one is pretty straight forward, the other two just seem to deviate to be different, even crossing over the first choice a number of times. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

my one experience of saying yes to an offer to re-route because of slow traffic ahead taught me to never do it again! The new route took me in a very major detour that involved driving across a good part of London whilst trying to get from Harwich to the West Country. I reckon to take my chances with the slow traffic in future! |

RTFM, the get out of jail card for those who accept crap UI. Millions of pounds worth of UI R&D and RTFM still equates to UAFM or UAFTomTom.

The current Disco you can voice command the Sat Nav amongst other things, so the MY13 Freely may have it
