2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HST Manual Stornoway Grey
Best Place For An Accurate Valuation?

Guys

As above I have an 07 Freelander 2 TD4 SE 160 with 29k miles on clock it was a Landrover demo car when I had it and has every extra the HSE has bar the full leather, trying to get a rough estimate as to how much its worth?

Its immaculate inside and out and has barely been used

Which are the best most accurate sites?

I have tried Parkers Which gives a Private Good price of £11800

I have also tried Wisebuyers which gives a Private Good price of £11200

Does this sound right?

Even though these are the valuations I have been given, I cannot find a single SE for sale with this low mileage, extras and condition mine is in for less than 14k online?

The other valuation site to try might be CAP. You can obtain a quote, for a price, through the Network Q site

Isle Of Man 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Narvik Black

I have just sold my 07 SE and done the wisebuyers and glass's valuations, all of which showed around the 11kvalue as a private good and 13k as retail . I also got two part ex quotes which where between 10.5 and 11k. Looking locally the cheapest on a forecourt was 13.5k with similar mileage but lower spec (mine was an SE with full leather, panoramic roof and 18" alloys). Having looked on ebay and autotrader for comparative values, all at similar mileage of 56k, all where 13k and above. I set the price at 13k which I believed was a fair value and would get a quick sale.

I advertised locally on two free web sites. First serious buyer bought the car at the asking price. The car had full LR service history and the buyer had his own mechanic check the car and found no faults or concerns. In hindsight I probably set the price a bit low, but I got what I considered a fair price for the car, and its cash in my bank when I come to get a new car.

So I would say set your price at between 15 and 20% more than any trade in value and stick to your price, dependant on condition and spec.

Hope this helps

Chris

Thanks Chris
Thats fantastic Info, great to know, I have no interest in selling it just making sure the price I paid was good I gave 11.5k for a top spec SE 07 Reg like yours with all the extras, Alpine Sound System Panoramic roof and 19" HST alloys with 29k mileage , Immaculate condition , never off-roaded, Full LR history and just serviced at LR....but it was from my father he said that was really cheap.

Have added full HST kit and its looking beautiful now Thumbs Up
