It sounds like you for battery's have gone mate, I had the same thing on my 08 - sometimes it worked sometimes it never, seemed to work just the once after taking it for a drive then couldn't-unlock it -- ended up getting 2 new fobs |

I also had the same problem and got Landrover Assistance out. The technician opened the car using the key moved it to a different position and then the fob worked perfectly. He said the fobs suffer interference from other wireless networks such as garage door openers etc and it can be a common problem. Not had it since though |

This sounds about right.. both my keys were being a pain some times working some times not ,problem being locking but not unlocking. Then one died so i used the other key ,now the 2nd key fob will not open.. This was after swapping them and doing some long drive's..

Most likely cause is the battery has died. It is possible to replace the battery providing you are careful in how you prize the fob open and have a little skill in soldering in the replacement battery. Cost is under £10 for a battery and if you search the forum for fob battery or similar there is a thread that tells you how to do it. |

Best not to play about with the fobs papa and try and split them apart just in case your dealer or LR say they have been tampered with |
