Boot floor strap

On the underside of the boot floor there is a strap with a hole in the end that looks like it is used to hold the floor up when accessing the spare wheel, but what does it fix to and where ? I have looked but can't find a stud or anything for it to hook onto or am I missing something. It's more annoying than a problem as round the sides of the spare wheel makes for some useful extra storage.

It clips on the tailgate seal on the top of the opening. No special catch just the door seal. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

its a waste of time, you might as well take things out of the boot including the cover as it never slides back easily Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks for the replies, very well grouped time wise.
So i must be missing some sort of wide plastic hook that presumably should be riveted to the strap, and no doubt has a ridiculous price to replace it.
I had noticed that the floor never slips back into the brackets very easily unless at a shallow angle.

Yes, there should be a hook. But I agree with Nick - it's easier just to remove the floor panel. I've never yet used the strap.
