Just been on to the Westfalia site and checked the towball model number, it is the correct one, so I guess its back to the fitter.

I am in the process of choosing which towbar to fit, for pulling a small trailer. Thule, Westfalia etc etc. Which of these top line brands do not need any cut outs on the valance?
BTW, prices here in Italy are as crazy as elsewhere. The LR dealer I purchased the car from quotes 1k euros! I can buy the Westfalia for 560 eu and install myself or pay 880eu including installation. Still waiting for the Thule price. Oh, and once installed there is a mandatory visit to the Italian version of the MOT inspector to get the installation OK'd and a suitable stamp applied to the cars registration documents

I have one of their own, but if I remember correctly it is identical to another well known make - good and solid, not bent it yet, went for it as it didn't need a cutout. 2000 Xei 1.8 gone
2004 HSE Td4 Auto, MT's, sump guard, sliderz - gone
2014 GS Man - AT's, Mantec Sump guard and tank guard, split charger in boot, towbar, work in progress...
