Thinking about snow foaming the freely the weekend but all the videos if seen on the net of people snow foaming their cars looks very messy
Just had a new drive laid and the closest drain is about 6 houses up...
Never used snow foam before so what I'm asking is do the members who have used it think its more of a pain than just giving the freely a good old wash ... BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I'd like to see if its worth it too. I have the same problem with drainage, as my driveway is just a soakaway.

I believe it's against some law to wash it down a public drain on the road, that's why council insist on grates nowadays if there a chance of your water escaping in to roads


But, it doesn't last for that long, just hose it down after Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If you don't hose it all away afterwards the ground will turn green.
I believe you also have the Karcher bottle thing which is pretty rubbish compared to the expensive ones so you won't get a thick foam, more just lots of watery suds.
I've been using an old bucket and a single wash mitt recently and just pressure wash the bugs off, novelty of snow foam has worn off, unless the car is thick with mud I don't see much point.
It won't be long before some officious bunny hugger gets it banned as it is illegal, I think, to discharge the run off into the drain.

If so make sure they allow for the weight of the D4, I believe there is a plastic mesh the can imbed in the sand to strengthen it

I use ValetPro Advanced Neutral Snow Foam in a low dilution in a £5 Asda garden pump sprayer for the lower half of the car and inner arches. Really lifts the crap and grime, pressure wash off and wash normally using two bucket method to keep the swirls down!!

Not a fan of this thick suds malarkey, but ValetPro actually say it's more effective in a pump sprayer as a pre wash squirt!! Ph neutral and smells lovely and orangey  2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

I have done the same recently with my valet pro citrus per wash and also the magifoam, good results

Snow foam some iron X soap wash the other week too, clung a little longer getting the iron off Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Think I might stick with the hose and 2 bucket system after reading some of these posts

I think I might pass too. It seemed a good idea at first but now I'm not too sure.

I like my SN.... personally I use it as a pre wash before by hand ( 1 bucket and one spray gun with clean ) but also as a quick 'that will do'.

I use the Kartcher bottle as well and as much as I would like a pro one this seems to do the job.

As for run off - commercially I recognize a lot of what has been said above but I always thought it was slightly different at home.

In any case I always wash on the street and then move on to the drive - this way you have a wet and a dry area to work in.

I dug a 100m shallow ditch and filled it with reeds, all wash water goes into the ditch, the reeds soak up the nasties, not always practical on a domestic scale however  At work

Cheap Irish Pavers, that's what I'm getting ripped up, it's currently Block Paved but has the landscape of the Dunes of the Sahara  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
