I wouldn't be worried about the FL's ability to pull it. But it's not obvious from the picture just how well the roller is secured to the trailer. I'd be thinking carefully about what's going to happen during cornering and if you have to brake suddenly - is there any possibility of the roller moving? Is the trailer braked? Also, is the centre of gravity low enough to be OK during cornering?

If you're only going a short distance and can do it slowly it's probably OK. But I wouldn't want that roller joining me in the car in case of an accident!

It travelled fine the roll is not actually as heavy as it looks maybe a ton and a half at the most.
The roll was very secure no movement at all didnt snake or anything in fact you could hardly feel it there at all.

The worst thing I ever pulled was a combine header I only had to go about a mile with it but because there not very heavy and the trolly has big wheels it bounces every where. Was quite an experience but ok if taken slowly. All in all the freelander has pulled everything iv ever thrown at it.

The only thing I'd possibly have added was a strap from the anchor points on the side, around the back of the cylinder, keeping it firmly held against the bulkhead. But saying that, it looks more secure than the majority of the stuff you see on the road!

Also, bare in mind, if it weighs 1.5 tons, the trailer would probably weigh a good .5, and that's (from a spec point of view) the limit for the FL.

Best thing I've towed is my mates Ranger pickup, up a steep slippery slope to where we were camping as he couldn't get up it. I then went back down and got the tree trunk that he was trying to drag in the first place... no bother  Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
