Its secured by 4no. self tappers with caps to cover them. Cant see them unless you are specifically looking for them.
its very secure and doesn't move al all, even when to put weight on it with your elbow

I've often considered buying an armrest as discussed in this thread... anyone ID any negatives to having one fitted? ...

No negatives from me having one, a bigger covered storage, forward sliding adjustment if needed, sturdy with the one supplied screw (pre MY13) and looks part of the cockpit scenery Thumbs Up

I will admit to it being a tad overpriced but that's in line with all LR accessories.

No negatives either.

My13 model, looks just like its been factory fitted. Full width of centre console, ideal for resting your elbow / forearm on whilst changing gear. Great product, very well built.

I had a Wood Company armrest in my 1st Freelander 2, an 'S' model. The extra storage and armrest were great. My current 'XS' model has factory fitted armrests, but I still transferred the armrest across as the extra storage is so useful. I recommend this upgrade!

Talking of NI, NIN numbers etc, I lived in Spain for a few years and you as an individual, have to get a NIF ( Número de Identificación Fiscal) number which every member of the family needs, without this number you cannot do much as this is required on various bits of paper especially when buying larger items like cars/house or even to get your bonfire licence from the local towns mayor!!

It is no big deal to give you NI/NIN/NIF it keeps them all happy, probably to do with laundering etc.

Defo big brother, they want to know the ins and outs of a cats backside these days Smile
