Nick I was just up there this weekend, I would suggest hand held( with my limited knowledge ) its a great spot and if the weathers good you,ll get some good shots.

Might be worth talking to the Glider School people for the best locations and if you get board, you can just nip out of the site and try the Green Lane just up the road

Scratch Free (just) but quite bumpy in places, if you turn left out the Glider place and head back towards the A170, about 800m's as the road bends to the left, you,ll see a Unsuitable for Motors sign. Just head straight down brings you out near Kildale at he bottom of Sytton Bank. Can't be that bad, the google street view cars been down it Rolling with laughter

we used to take a defender there when it snowed and tow sledges behind it, all good fun ,two ropes five sledges per rope At work
