Australia 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Fuji White
LR genuine towbar

When I bought my Aug 2012 plate TD4 XS, I had the dealer fit a genuine LR towbar and electrics. The other day, I noticed a sticker on the inside of the door surround that said the towbar is for trailer use only.

Does this mean that with the genuine item fitted, it is not suitable to tow a caravan?

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

I thought that the word "trailer" is generic for anything, in so far as a frame with an axle/s and wheels.
Here in the UK travellers refer to their caravans etc as trailers.

IMHO The label is to advise not to tie things on like a rope and pull tree roots out etc as it is not rated designed for anything other than hitching a trailer?
