I paired my new Samsung Galaxy S4 phone via Bluetooth to Freelander II 07 HSE SE.
The phone book sync'd, but the entries are corrupted. No recognisable names - just random letters.

Has anyone got this to work / or is the phone not compatible?

The following features are working -

Answer / Hang-up / Voicemail
I can hear other party. The microphone doesn't seem to be working - which is really strange, as it was working for first 5 minutes then packed-up. The other party cannot hear me.

The Bluetooth has worked fine with Apple iPhone 3 and 4s before

Have a look at www.landrover.co.uk.
At the bottom of the page is a section called 'Owners' under owners is a section called 'Bluetooth'.
If you look under Bluetooth there is a facility to identify your phone and type in your VIN and it will tell you if your phone is compatible with your Freelander and which if any functions are supported.

My wife had a problem connecting Galaxy 2 to her Tiguan. The phone paired but not phone book. She found she had to do a vertical swipe on her phone which accessed a notifications menu and there she found a tick box to check. The phone book then synched automatically.

My Galaxy S4 is the same, corrupted phone book, Everything else seems to work. No problems with the mic as yet.
My FL2 is a 2007 HSE.
