Instanteous Fuel Consumption - From Trip Computer

Hi
I have a Freelander 2 and just tried checking the trip computer and was using the function for instantaneous Fuel Consumption. When the car is stopped and idling it was showing 0.00L/100km and increases as you accelerate.
Now when it is stopped and idling, it shows 99.991L/100km and when I accelerate it decreases.
Is there some adjustment that I can do to correct this?

I don't think I have that function on my 2008 model so can't help. Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Mine - 2014 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport Matt Black

That actually sounds like correct behaviour. When the car's not moving the fuel consumption, in terms of l/100km, is infinite as you'll never do 100km with the car stopped! Fuel consumption is highest in the lower gears, with maximum being achieved cruising in top. So it appears to be right.

What do you want to see?

edit: Starting from zero and increasing sounds more like a mpg figure than l/100km - could it have been mpg (or km/g, or km/l) you were seeing rather than l/100km?
