Had a vibration when cruising on the motorway at about 70mph. Has only happened twice so difficult to pin down. Removal of power and the vibration went away and did not reappear when power reapplied. No funny or otherwise noises. Had a new clutch and flywheel 3500 miles ago. No problems on a 2750 mile drive to Italy and back a few weeks ago. Brake pads changed and calipers cleaned before the trip. Anybody had a similar problem?.

First port of call with this kind of issue is wheel balance. They may just be starting to go out of balance especially as you have recently put some miles on them. Also, are you sure the tyre pressures are right?

Until you have checked the above two things there is not a lot of point in looking elsewhere IMHO. John

another not so obvious thing could be rubble patches, going from tarmac to concrete roads caught me out a couple of times  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Had wheels balanced. Then after driving 8 miles car started to vibrate very badly. Vibration stopped as soon as power removed and came back as soon as throttle applied. Started at 70 mph but was present all the way down to 40 mph. turned off the motorway and the fault was gone. This is only the second time it has happened. Feels like the engine is miss firing. Have just driven 30 miles with no problems. There is no noise when the vibration occurs. any ideas ??. Bad fuel ?.

I hate to say it, but it could be the DMF not ironing out the engine drive vibrations, especially as it happens with power delivery. I know you say you had it replaced a while ago but .....
