Big green garden sacks are large enough, keeping them rotated if not on the rim and keeping them dry is important, the following info is from Continental Tyres.

I think I'm breaking most of the above rules! My winter tyres are on rims, standing upright and at normal operating pressure in the back of my garage, which is full of various solvents, fuels, chemicals, etc. And yet I fully expect them to be in perfect condition when I come to put them in the car at the end of the year.

My problem is storage space. It's UV that causes the problem, and because they are not used on the vehicle, they can crack, seen it before. I know you can go OTT, but i'll feel better knowing they have some protection from the elements, when they're just stood. |
