I need to get a thin wire from behind the glove compartment to the light switch area on the drivers side.
Is there an easy route through or will I have to dismantle all of the dash?
Car is an SD4 '11 model if it makes a difference.
All advice gratefully received...

There is a plastic panel at the right hand side of the passenger footwell and left hand side of the drivers, if you pull these off can pass the wire through there, after that you can run the wire under the steering colum.

another method is to remove the trim round the radio .
pop the the centre speaker cover , revealing four screws , remove these (tork 20 )
pull out the rubber pen tray thingy revealing 2 more tork screws to remove
carefully but firmly pull either side of the radio surround just loose and remove connecting plug
put the surround to one side and then you can access behind the sat nav screen
there are apertures either side wher you can run your cable using a piece of coat hanger wire or similar and then under the
steering wheel
you can also pop the plastic end plate by the door to give you better access
this works on my 2008 td4 hse , i hope this helps

Cable rod kits are good. Easy to push and pull cables through.
Look like little drain rod kits.
