im sure once shot, if not fatally wounded the police are not allowed to save tax payers money and put another round in them to finish the job, (not unless you on the underground and carrying a rucksac)

until the world or just the UK descend into a Judge Dredd Society, were the police walk around saying "i am the Law" snarling and blasting every perb to kingdom come, we have to accept that they have use reasonable force the scumbags are still alive receiving the best care the NHS can provide, and will spend the rest of their lives in a high security prison, been fed 3 times a day, with a choice of 5 different options of food till they return back to their cell and watch the next instalment of Al Jarad TV Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

As satisfying as it might be to waste the mother fu Censored ers, we would be no better than them. Just by arresting them and following the correct procedures we are scoring a victory over them. The police did a great job by blowing them away because they posed a clear and present danger to all concerned. They survived the shots and should now face the justice system.

Remember, they won't have the life of Riley inside. Despite the creature comforts and solitary confinement, the hard men inside will get to them and knock seven shades of sh Censored t out of them. That's ok as far as I am concerned, as long as the state isn't kicking the crap out of them, we have the moral high ground. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Would somebody with a better understanding of the British legal system please put me right -

As far as I see it, the "suspects" as Sky, BBC and CNN etc are labeling them are British citizens. They have murdered a serving member of the British armed forces (God only knows how his family and the lads in his unit are taking all this). The poor slain soldier represents the Queen. When I was in the mob, high treason was punishable by death - by hanging to be exact.

So do these British citizens who have murdered the Queen's representative qualify for this punishment???

Probably not................

As other posters have commented, if this was in a country far far away from our oh so P.C. little island, they would have been swinging in the breeze this morning. And the really s Censored Censored Censored Censored y thing - he was wearing a Help-For-Heroes T-shirt apparently. MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

Got to be careful. The last thing we need to do is make martyrs of them! I'm all for the hardest punishment possible, but lets not inspire other indoctrinated suicide jockeys to do the same thing!

Andy.

My suggestion was totally passive. They had been shot whilst attempting to attack armed police officers. Why the totally unnecessary expense of airlifting them to hospital to undo all the law enforcement officer's good work? Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

...and because we are a law-abiding, freedom-loving country that shouldn't go down the road of 'wild west law enforcement' or extremist-stylee summary justice.

As has been said, we mustn't sink to the level of these ani... I was gonna say animals, but the animals I know are nicer than these scum... but we still mustn't sink to the level of these crazies.

Looking at this I think 'kill' was a distinct option

watched this earlier, shows the scum charge the police and the resulted action taken (not graphically)

But the tall one in black, is laying there wriggling in hopefully severe pain Confused Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
