Bluetooth is killing my phone.

So, I'm travelling up to London and bluetooth is connected on my 07 HSE to my Samsung S3.
First call comes through, the speakers go loud and echoey then it kills the phone. Reach my destination, take out battery & sim and replace, all working again.
On homeward journey the first call is crystal clear, no problems at all, second call is slightly faint but clear, the third call makes a load of noise and switches the phone off again.

Is there a conflict between the Freelander and an S3 phone ? Or is the bluetooth system faulty ?

The same phone works fine with Jag and van.

I had nothing but trouble with a Samsung phone and the bluetooth in the FL2, same problems hat you are describing, have gone back to iphone and it is fine, doesn't drop any calls and siri works well with the controls.
Samsung along with Android for me was rubbish and definitely won't go back. The phone I had was awaiting a software upgrade and 02 were dragging their feet supplying it, one of the parts of the upgrade was to the bluetooth.

I would try another phone first Thumbs Up

Same problem with an S2 Mini and my Ford Focus. The phone just freezes after I accept an incoming call. It is very annoying, it happens a lot.

I have a 2008 HSE and Samsung S3, never had any issues with bluetooth, calls etc.
Maybe its where you position the phone? I have mine on a holder attached to the centre of the windscreen - right above sat nav screen.

My S3 and 2011 HSE work fine, although I can't seem to hang up after a call has finished. The car asks me after a certain time if I want to reconnect. Confused

the car paired up ok with my s3 but would not load the phone book which made life dangerous so i fitted a parrot
and happy days , it plays the music and i have voice activation with the phone in my pocket
the parrot gismo took a bit of fitting with the amp being in the back drivers side boot area and total expense was about
200 pound , but what can i say ! its a hobby !

Hi, just for the record it's the Samsung S3 model GT-19300 that doesn't work with my 2007 HSE.
I connected an HTC Explorer and it works fine.
