Hi! Has anyone tried these?? Am tempted, if only for the spare. Thoughts gratefully received. In an ideal world I would like some Grabber AT's however budget is a bit tight. I'm wondering what road use is like with the Kingpins.

Why put retreads on a £30k + vehicle......total madness. Sorry but I would not even contemplate remoulds/retreads. In fact they would not even go on my Defender.

Ok I guess as a low speed get you home spare, but certainly not for normal use. |

When I was an impoverished student I bought (after saving up) remoulds and found them very good. The rubber was much harder wearing than "new" tyres and the tread pattern almost the same as the Avon Traction Mileage. I guess my 109" was much the same weight as a Freelander. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

Have heard some good but more bad comments from friends. Possibly for the spare or second set for winter in low speeds but I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and go for the grabber AT's.

You might be surprised to know that perhaps the most safety concious of industries use retreads.

Putting aside the safety fears (justified or not) - the fact these particular retreads were much harder than OEM does not bode well for grip? (Coming) 2016 RR Evoque td4 180 HSE Dynamc (Going) 2013 TD4 GS Auto - Santorini Black with black leather. Cold Climate, UK Lighting & Armrest Packs. Privacy Glass. LR Rubber Mats. Full size spare. 60 000 miles averaging 35mpg (Gone) 2010 TD4 Manual GS - Stornoway Grey. Sold at 3yrs old & 64k miles. Final average consumption 39.2mpg. |
