LR seem to have shot themselves in the foot with no auto-diesel at launch and missed another chance with the new 07 plate on the 1st of March. Auto's are available on the petrol but there is little market for the I6 in this country. Is there a particular issue with supply or is there a technical issue? Perhaps someone from LR would like to comment. How do LR schedule their build runs - by customer order date I would hope - unless it's an auto-diesel

Hi Elephant, I see you're down the road from me. On LR Chronicle they reckon the auto TD4 uses the same gearbox as the i6 which confuses me even more. I was speaking to my dealer on Tuesday, he reckons a lot are holding off until the auto is released too. D4 HSE Lux for me

not sure how many fl2 are made each day.Halewood is said to be the most up to date factory in the uk for buliding vehicles and the std excellent. i can not comment because not been, but cant be worse than the fl1. I think the auto did not come out at first for general sales because land rover now have another chance to launch the FL2 TD4 Auto. may not be the case but two bites at the cherry are better than one.
