6 Stornoway Grey shades i never knew about

Took my face-lift Bumper in on Saturday to get sprayed Very Happy and thought ill popped in there Monday to see if i could get some photos of the bumper in the booth so i could add them to my (Face-lift & removing old bumper) post once its all finished

The kind man in the garage said he would take photos for me along the way (Prep and finish coat) and email them to me Very Happy

He asked if i could bring the freely back down to him so he could color match it,,something i found strange seeing as he took down the reg and Vin number / i was in my Van at the time so i shot home to get my freely, and the paint shop came out with 6 Stornoway Grey swatches all very similar to look at but completely different held up to the car - my color happened to be the standard Stornoway Grey that was number 3 (1 being the lightest shade 6 being the darkest)
Just thought ill mention this to other Stornoway Grey Freely members if in the future you was planing to get parts of your freelys sprayed or buying Mirror caps or Handle covers Thumbs Up BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

Isn't that to take into account of colour fading as the car gets older? 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I sure it wouldn't change that much over time - the number 6 shade was very dark with a lot more metallic Question
But the funny thing was all 6 shades had come up on the freely 2 HSE 2008 color chart Rolling Eyes BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

It's a bit odd, Stornoway was used on the Freelander, Discovery, RRS and FFRR, it finished after the Tsunami in Japan and was replaced by Orkney Grey. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior
