Aftermarket tinting doesn't look good though!

Why not?

There's very little wrong with the tints I have on my windows front and rear, and that's in a place where the guys installing them don't do the best job anyway.

No offence taken, just was wondering what your thoughts were. Thumbs Up

The tints on my side windows make such a difference to heat rejection, and 3M have a clear version for the windscreen which although is quite expensive I am thinking of getting to keep me from burning my arse on the leather Very Happy

Been looking at the FL2's for sale on the Landrover website and thought it would be good to compare the colours for sale there against the poll results. Quite interesting to see how accurate the poll really was!! Thumbs Up (some colours have had to be paired up to match LR website selections)

red = poll 11%, LR website 4%
green = poll 3%, LR website 1%
blue = poll 17%, LR website 19%
beige = poll 0%, LR website 1%
Orange&gold = poll 0%, LR website 3%
white = poll 1%, LR website 1%
black = poll 23%, LR website 28%
grey&silver = poll 45%, LR website 43%

So I think the morale of this story is that if you are interested in buying a black or grey FL2 then haggle for a discount with your dealer - they are far more common!! Whistle Whistle Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black
Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless!
Gone - 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Bali Blue with xenons
Gone - 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Rimini Red with bodykit

A new Australian survey suggests that black cars are the most dangerous to be travelling in, as you are most likely to not be seen by other motorists and therefore more chance to be involved in an accident Whistle . All colours where listed from most unsafe to safest and grey cars where about midway on the list.
Unfortunately I have only read this in the Norwegian press today and don’t really have time to translate it all.
Maybe one of our Aussie members can post us an English version

Will we be laughing at trade in time when the markets saturated in Black and Grey cars.

Fads like White come and go, Reds and T flame may not be everybodys choice.

One good thing dealers like popular coloured cars as they know they'll be able to sell them on without trouble

You have to have the right Stornaway Grey with Alpacha colour like me though Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
