Photos of facelift bumper dry fit

Seeing as the sun was shining this morning and i had a clear head, it was time to get the face lift bumper dry fitted Thumbs Up

Took me just under a hour to remove the old one fit the new - remove the new and refit the old
so as you can see quite an easy job if you take your time

When it comes back from paint and i refit the bumper for the last time ill have to do a step by step nut by nut photo montage, for members who want to know how to remove the front bumper

Still need to make up my mind about the black grill surround (Do i or don't i have it black) so please feel free to feedback your thoughts Very Happy

I had the same dilemma about the black grill surround. Still I had went for silver, it suits the car so much better and I don't know if you can add the "chrome" stripe that is present on the 2013MY. Also considering that your car is silver, it would blend really nice. It just looks odd in black.

I agree with Ninel W. I would only have a black grill on a Dynamic for a sportier look, otherwise I prefer the silver. Also, the side indicators have to be white. It's a forum rule. Wink Laughing

Looking at these photos a few hours on, I think I would agree - black don't look right on the surround (to bulky)
seemed to look better before I re-added. the lights Rolling Eyes

So I'm now left with stornoway gray - gray or silver Confused

Think I'd be tempted to go with the silver. I think it'll look better than Taz's 'photofit' (sorry Taz Wink ) Definitly not the black though, it looks wrong on your car. Joanne

Can I just say I like the red trim above..... would need more than just that to be a theme through the car though....

Also the red its self would need changing a bit as that one is a bit 'hello'.....

Bumper looks good. I'd colour code the grill surround anything else just doesn't look right. 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE
