I get 31-33mpg most of the time (SD4). I don't think that is too bad, seeing as my journeys are quite short. Hopefully the MPG will increase during the 2000 mile trip around Spain and France. |

We have averaged around 32mpg ever since we have owned ours since August 07. Ours is a Dec 2006 model.

My screen has been telling me that I'm only doing 31.2mpg! I've even driven like a granny and it hasn't changed. |

33 mpg mixed driving, commute, town and towing a 1250kg caravan aprox 200 miles on the first tankful since purchase 2 weeks ago. I would expect 40+mpg solo and 30+mpg towing given the computer is showing 31.4 mpg just towing about 100 miles today through stop-start holiday traffic and m/way keeping the speed around 60mph. That is using Shell with 2SO additive at around 1:175. eh tu? |

40+ solo and 30+ towing; the later is probably the best you will ever get, no matter how I drove, A roads, town always gave 34 and motorways around 38 that was a 2008 manual.

There are so many variables which affect mpg beyond simple traffic conditions including tyre choice 9width and and rolling resistance), fuel, weather conditions, driver style/behaviour and so on. I personally find a car that gets a regular Italian tune-up tends to retrun better mpg figures than one that never gets above 2000rpm....... eh tu? |
