Here is some pictures of the work and the re-build.

Firstly the roof lid. Steve used the Bentley GT Convertible's design and transposed it to mine. I didn't actually know how this was going to be done, but it looks very subtle and upper classed.

With this being done in the same Nappa leather as the seats, the roll bar/headrests looked very cheap and plastic looking. So these were done as well!

Nearly there with the re-build. Just a few things to finish tomorrow morning. But almost there.

First job, to actually get the dash in place and bolted to the shell.



Then re-assembling everything.

I say all finished, I thought this would be t complete.

But the interior sill trims and kick panels are being done in the next few weeks, then once the car is off the road for the winter, the complete door cards and rear interior quarter panels are being re-trimmed as well.

So once this is done, every plastic surface on the interior will be Nappa leather trimmed!

It looks great! I really like the red seats. Were they retrofitted?

As it is a limited edition Linea Rossa model, it came from the factory with red and black leather as standard. The door cards and rear panels are still original.

Last summer, I bought some half leather GSi Recaro seats and a cloth rear seat and had Steve re-trim them in Nappa leather to the original Linea Rossa design.

I then sold the original seats to a guy that also had a Linea Rossa but with very worn seats. I would only have sold them to a Linea Rossa owner so they would not end up in a non LR Astra. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
