looks good mav whats that little black button on the top of the seat controls ? When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car |

The dealer has changed the cloth seat cover on my MY11 under warranty as the bloster on the driver's door side was showing signs of wear and it looked as though it would wear through. The only issue is that they did not replace the foam base and there is a bit of slackness on the actual base of the seat ie where the backside goes! It is tight everywhere else. Not sure if I can tighten this myself or is it just that the foam is sagging and the cover is never going to be absolutely tight? Cant really be bothered going back to dealer again with this--always a hassle! Thanks. |

Makes me wonder if they haven't bothered to fit new hock rings. The seat base cover should be totally tight along the seat seem. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

Mav, do you think it would be possible or indeed feasible to fit a totally new cover from a newer model to an older model. IE new dynamic covers to a 2008 HSE?

I think that this has been covered before. I recall that using a fine sandpaper between the leather and the plastic (abrasive area to the plastic side) resolves the squeaking issue. |
