Like you I have the 'Witter' detachable and like you the bag goes snugly beside the spare wheel. If you want to design your own packaging foam then buy a block and cut to suit, I haven't heard of it as an accessory.. |

My towbar is a Brink/Thule and I have two swan-necks (one greasy ball and one dry ball) which both sit nicely in the spare wheel well. |

Tucked in beside the wheel seems a popular choice. That's where mine sits too. |

In the small recess under the load space light so I do not have to remove all the car rallying gear to fit it if we have to tow out a dead car.

Chicken George ought to get in touch with The Caravan Club and start a 5 caravan CL club site, we could all take it in turns and visit him towing our caravans for the weekend - just think free eggs for breakfast, Roast Chicken for Sunday Lunch then we could fill his green plastic dustbin before we go home!!

Whole point of buying a detachable tow bar is so you can remove it and not catch your leg on it when accessing the load area , plus which in the age of friction operated stabilisers to stop it rusting and most important of all so you can sneak past Chicken George and he will not know you are a caravan owner. Seriously I am always amazed at the number of vehicles seen on the road with removable tow bars that have not been removed in aeons and if the need arose would be rusted up solid. Bill T.
