Many of my photographs have embedded copyright information, unfortunately this can be removed quite easily and is by sites such as flickr etc.
I like sharing my photo's with others, I enter competitions with them and win.
The pictures are on flickr for all to enjoy, I will never be rich from photography, if I found any of my pictures had been used for commercial gain then I would pursue them for recompense for using the image, most images can be traced back to an original somewhere unless that person has removed the original.

Implications? possibly less pictures and images being posted or images with copyright across them, not sure which is worse.
