Could you tell us which side, it may be the same for others Smile

I get a little in the nearside one after washing the car but it disappears after an hour.

Tailgate lamp Rolling Eyes Doh!

I believe there is a foam sealing strip that is prone to letting water in, I'll have a dig
around

There are two catches, one either side, which hold the lens in place. If you put a few pieces of masking tape where these catches are held on the bodywork, it makes for a tighter fit.
Or
Thin bead of silicon around on the foam seal will do the trick.

I had the same problem on my 2010 GS. In this case the car had been into the dealer as the lamp was staying on (even with the ignition off and the car locked). Anyway that's another story... but the dealer failed to replace the seal and a leak was introduced! The car was returned to the dealer and a new seal fitted and problem solved.

i changed my red light for the clear type(new seal on unit)bit of a do replacing the trim though, ended up breaking the clips and had to order a new set Evil or Very Mad any way it was an easy fix and if you are out of warranty the lens is not expensive.just be careful with the trim replacement. Wink

cheers guys the problem is that the condensation/water is getting inside the lamp unit not the boot pls check and see if anyone else has the same, problem happens when it either rains or I've washed the car, not with a power hose of course Thumbs Up rainy-city

If condensation is getting in the lamp then I guess it must be faulty. Use your warranty! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
