Got me a new freelander 2 hse sd4 :)

Just thought I would come on and say hello Smile got me a new black freelander 2 (lux) hse sd4. Will upload some photos soon , I am desperate to go off road with it now ! Anyone suggest a good place around Northamptonshire ? Also how does insurance work if go of road lol.

Enjoy your new FL2 and I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures. I'm not too sure about insure cover for off-roading, but I'm sure some other members will shed some light.

If you've gone with Land Rover Insurance they will cover you for off road. Or like me called Esure today as I've been with them for eight years and never claimed, to change my insurance from the SD4 to a Disco 4 and they replied "sorry sir, a Discovery 4 is on our list of vehicles we do not insure". Shocked

welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll find it both informative and sometimes amusing.

a good question re insurance cover off road, most companies will not honour a claim if the vehicle is damaged off road.

best to check with them first.

Try sureterm, Adrian flux or Lr for off road ins, the rest will point blank refuse cover. My11 freelander 2, xs, Manual, 18" hse sparkles, sidesteps, privacy, zermatt silver metallic, almond nutmeg alacantra, twin electric towbar

Land Rover Experience are based at Rockingham Castle, Your LR Dealer should have given you a voucher for a free 1/2 day Experience.
If you want to use your own vehicle off road, LR Experience at Rockingham do pay and play days, usually once a month. Details can be found on www.lroac.com.
There are a number of green lanes not far from Corby that can be used with care in a Freelander.
