Shame, i had a clio sport 6 years ago while i was serving in Cyprus, the Xenons made a huge difference @ night, they have since deluded me on other motor purchases, was hoping i may have struck lucky with my latest!. Conversion kits seem to be so expensive though!. So how was your HSE? Nice yo drive? 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE with HST kit

I love my 2011 HSE. Lovely to drive and its very comfortable on long journeys. I'm sure you will enjoy your new FL2.

HST was based on a SE not a HSE

have you bought a HSE with a HST body kit on?

If you have you'll have to declare it to your insurers as a HSE with Body kit, one of the other forum members had to do this and it was a lot more to insure

Can't remember what the spec was, but my HSE has optional Adaptive Xenons Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks all for the input guys! guess i will have to wait until next wed when i pick her up.
It is the factory hst version so i assume insurance company will know this from the registration plate however i will ask the question when i call. Can anyone advise on a warranty company that doesn't charge the earth, I've been getting quotes of £65 per month. 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE with HST kit

if you have the VIN number the build can be looked up on the topix website and it will tell you if you have xenons Idea Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Xenon have not been standard on any Freelander 2p prior to MY2013 and even now it is only standard on the HSE Lux (I think). The last MY11 Freelander 2 HSE I drove had Halogen bulbs, my 2010 XS manual has Xenon.
The quickest way to check is see if you have manual headlamp levelling, if you do, you don't have Xenon's. If you have auto levelling then the chances are you have Xenon's. Alternatively open the bonnet and the headlamp unit will have a lable telling you whay bulb is fitted.

Yes, Xenon headlights only come as standard on the HSE lux. I find that the halogen lights on my car are great even though some people have complained about them.

I'm lucky enough to have Xenons and AFL.... that does make a difference.

The biggest sign as others have said is check for the head lamp level.... but if its not got that you can check for AFL ( as I believe that too was an option not 100% though ) by when you turn the car on a yellow head lamp with a left right arrow warning light appears.

AFL was indeed an option.
Don't think it's available on 2013 cars.
