Ok so i am thinking of doing the black badge bit ,best /cheapest place to buy them ? also do the range rover ones fit or are they a different size? who does the side pillar ones?

Lots of threads on here regarding Black badges, the ones off other vehicles are different sizes and don't fit, one member recently found a set on eBay for a FL2 but I think they were £94

Not sure how they are made, would it be possible to remove the green from the back of a badge, paint stripper perhaps?

Does anyone on here know how they are made up, may be worth a go?

I'm sure that's what they used to do to Ford badges back in the day - strip the paint off, re-do the Ford script in white, then finish it off with a coat of whatever colour you fancied.  Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I currently have these black badges on my Freelander 2.. I paid close to £100 for them.. set of 4.. bit steep I know but thought what the hell... why not.. after months of searching at random times on Ebay.. Not seen any since.. They do look better than the green.. Esp fact my freel2 is the red one so kinda went with the red / black theme..

Does the black Land Rover badge mean something special? I've seen them on a few Supercharged RR's, but I'm not sure if they go on other LR models.

its the 100 pound bit that scares me ,its too much for bits of plastic.Almost makes the LR rubber mats look cheap

The black badges were exclusive to the supercharged Range Rovers, then LR adopt the black badge for Range Rover and green for Land Rover.

Hi Guys, i'm new to all this forum stuff so not quite sure how to post correctly, so i hope this is within the rules.
the missus recently bought a fl2 in zermatt silver and wanted black and silver badges for it after much searching managed to find one set on e bay and a silly price, so i hatched a new plan and sent a msg to a chap who had supplied me gel overlays for my rs focus, he has managed to produce a set for me and i am now just waiting for them to arrive to see the results.
i have a link so other forums can buy them direct the cost is £16.00 plus delivery but not sure if i am allowed to post it the link on here, if someone from admin would contact me and let me know this would be great...
