USB hub

I've got a number of USB devices now that need a connection in the car - phone, iPod, camera charger, torch charger etc.

I was thinking of installing a cigarette power socket in the glove box with USB adapter and then connect up a USB hub.

Anyone tried this? I'm just trying to think if there is any reason a USB hub wouldn't work - if it stops raining I might try it on the existing power socket.

Re: USB hub

Not a great idea.... some devices need 2a where most USB ports are 250ma....

I'd look at other options.

What you pluging in any way needing that many connections ?

Thanks T. I've got my phone and an iPod. I also have a torch and camera that can be charged via USB.

I just seem to have an untidy bunch of cables and am just looking at ways to tidy up. I guess a couple of power sockets and 2 dual USB plugs would do.

Cheers
Simon
