United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Narvik Black
LR006792 - IPod / USB Connection

Hi Guy's

Has anyone installed (of have experience of) the new LR006792 IPod/USB Connection.
From what I understand, this is a new part – that replaces the older LR004805 item. What I hear is, the older part would only work on trim levels of XS and above, where as the new LR006792 part number should work on all trim levels.

Does anyone know any different, and what functionality it offers? I’m not really interested in the IPod dock, as I don’t have an IPod – what I really want to is the USB connection, so I can connection it a USB stick/disk with a ton of MP3’s – and control the tracks and volume from the steering wheel / head unit.

Any thoughts or tips?

They are not supported on the basic system that comes with the GS Big Cry

Cool, thanks Paul - looks like a major job, how long did it take, and how easy where the install doc's to follow?

Also, have you tried the USB connection out - if so, what functionality does it give you - what do you see on the screen, if anything? I don't have the same system as you, but I think the LCS display will be similar.
