There are a couple of threads running where people seem to have different understanding of what 'signature' lights actually mean.

I understood it to mean (for example) the MY13 standard with daytime running lights, but I see other references to Xenon etc.

What does 'signature' actually mean, and can standard (sub HSE) halogen lights be so described?

Signature lighting is specific to certain versions of lamp introduced at 13MY It is available on Halogen and Xenon headlamps and refers to a small (fancy) strip of light that runs from the DRL across the headlamp to the top. If I could work out how to insert an image via my mobile it would probably make explaining this a lot easier!

If you look at the price list (page 5) on the LR website it will detail which trim level receives which version of headlamp .

Don't the XS models and above get "signature lighting"? I've seen quite a few GS and S models around that only have a spotlight design for the DRL.

I have checked and mine definitely (13MY GS) has the 'signature' LED strip but it was apparently included as part of the add-onns and options offered by this particular dealer. I understand that ordinarily, GS comes with DLR (the round spotlight cluster) but no LED strip.

I was thrown by the other threads which suggest 'signature' lights are only included on Xenon lights.

My 13MY GS doesn't have them. Only got the DRLs. I spent my money on proper extras like heated front screen, arm rests and privacy glass. As the driver I won't ever see the signature lighting  * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.
